Poliplus Software wins 2nd and 3rd place in JPDA contest.
Waterloo, Canada - November 27, 2002 - Poliplus Software (http://www.poliplus.com) would like to announce that two of its products have won the 2nd and 3rd places in the category of Entertainment/Educational/Multimedia of the JPDA 2002 Application Developers Contest.
The JPDA 2002 contest was launched this summer by Insignia and it was sponsored by HP, Intel, Metrowerks, Sharp, Softbank Publishing and Sun Microsystems. The aim of the global competition was to search for the world's finest JPDA application developers and to promote the creation and public availability of JavaTM applets and applications designed for use in high-performance Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) such as the Sharp Zaurus and HP/Compaq iPaq devices.
Formulae 1 (Computer Algebra System) got 2nd place in the competition and since a few weeks
after its release in the beginning of September 2002 has ranked in the top 10 best seller PDA
applications at Handango. FluidNotes (Algebra 1) got 3rd place. Based on our SmartReader eBook platform, FluidNotes offers dynamically generated questions and animations.
